Integrative Health and Yoga
Educational Programs
This program brings awareness to skeletal health. It will include discussions on
anatomy, nutrition, and physical movements. It will include a review of bone
issues such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. We will reflect on new information
regarding drug and supplement therapies.
The yoga physical practices (Asana) are designed in a developmental fashion
that promotes joint lubrication, dexterity, and strength building. Asana will be
standing and/or seated practices. No previous yoga experience required.
Time commitment 4 weeks.
Yoga is an ancient science and philosophy that promotes wellness and self care. Sages
say that starting a yoga practice stops the aging process. But, can one do yoga at
90 years of age? Of course, if one can breathe, one can do yoga. A yoga practice
continues to facilitate the communication of the body, mind and spirit at any age.
Renaissance yoga is designed for seniors with limited agility. Most physical practices done
with seated postures in a chair.
The Healthy Brain series offers studies that promote brain memory and longevity.
Course curriculum includes: brain games, memory exercises, nutritional support,
stroke awareness, and importance of right and left brain communication, and age
appropriate physical practice.

Consultations are designed as a study in wellness, supporting the physical, emotional,
and mental levels of our true nature. The focus is recognizing the present state,
finding balance and maintaining a that balance. The Eight Limbs of Yoga from
Patanjali Yoga Sutras offer steps to that goal pending your capabilities, understandings,
and beliefs. Programs vary as needs vary. Patanjali writes in Sutra 111.15, “Different
methods produce different changes “. Every consultation is custom.
Class includes anatomy review, discussion, self awareness, age appropriate movement,
energy therapies, pranayama, reflection, yoga nidra (sleep yoga), and meditation.
Time commitment: 5 sessions – in private or small group settings.

This five part series is designed to address the issues of balance in day to day living.
Class will include anatomy review, influences by the five senses, aspects of physical,
emotional, and mental balance, and age appropriate yoga movements.

The peri-operative program is geared for empowering individuals to meet the
challenge of surgery. Integrative techniques promote faster healing, assist with
discomforts of surgery, and reduce the overall stress levels during the trying time.
Coaching includes diet awareness, breathing practices, music therapy, and
energy therapies..
